California Govt, How I loathe thee
i don't know if anyone remembers me writing about this last year... I went in to the DMV to renew my license only to find out it was suspended. my insurance company didn't file a form they were supposed to after an accident, so they had me down as not having insurance, even though i'd faithfully been paying my premiums. finally i got all that taken care of and my license was reinstated.
flash forward to the present. i got a letter in the mail that my license was again suspended for not having insurance. i figured they didn't have the papers from when i sold my car and that it would be an easy fix. but, no, they're asking me again for proof of insurance for an accident i had over 2 years ago, the same one that they already suspended my license for once (in error). 2 times now i've had my license suspended by Ca for a reason that's not even valid. how can they suspend me for something twice? what's the most maddening part about it is i HAD insurance. I PAID my insurance. now i'm having to go back and try to get papers from 2+ years ago to get my license back. it all just makes me remember one of the many reasons i hated living in LA. next time let's wait until i'm feeling nostaligic, eh? or perhaps the universe realizes that will never happen and wants to just fuck with me.
